IASW welcomes members from across the Social Work profession, whether you're fully qualified, new to the profession or studying for your Social Work degree. We offer a comprehensive range of benefits to support, inform and protect you throughout your career and want to encourage you to take part in IASW's professional activities and introduce your friends and colleagues into membership.

In order to join our assocation, you need to download a membership application form from this page (see below), accompany the form with the relevant payment, and post to our office (IASW, St. Andrews Resource Centre, 114-116 Pearse Street, Dublin 2). Please note that all new applications are approved by the executive of IASW, once they approve it, we will send your 'Welcome Pack', which includes our CPD folder, Code of Ethics, Code of Practice, INFO Newsletter, Contact list of Special Interest Groups, Constitution, and Journal.

IASW MEMBERSHIP FEES

  • Full Member (payment by cheque, credit card, cash) @ €180.00
  • Full Member (payment by Direct Debit) @ €170.00
  • Part-time Member (less than 20hrs) @ €110.00
  • Overseas Member @ €65.00
  • Non Working Member @ €40.00 {pls note 'Legal Protection Cover' is an additional €10 for this membership type}
  • Retired Member @ €60.00 {pls note 'Legal Protection Cover' is an additional €10 for this membership type}
  • Students @ €25.00
  • First Year Post Qualify @ €60.00
  • Second Year Post Qualify @ €110.00 

  

Student Membership @ €25.00 – if you graduated in 2011 your fee would normally increase in January 2012 to €60.00, the membership rate for First Year Post Qualify, however, if you are currently unemployed, then the association will offer you the student rate of €25.00 for one more year. Please note, if you are employed in a non-social work post, that is still classed as “working”, and therefore the first year post qualify rate of €60.00 will apply to you.
 
NOTE - If you fail to contact the office with your details you will automatically move up to the First Year Post Qualify rate of €60.00 on 1st January, 2012.
