The Presentation will look at how, as Social Workers, we understand the violence that is increasingly part of our job, how we respond to it and what we might do to anticipate and prevent it.  Their will be time allowed for questions and discussions. About Phil Mortell: Phil Mortell has recently retired after 19 years as a Principal Social Worker with the HSE in the Mid-West area.  He is now working as a free-lance social worker, counsellor, trainer and facilitator.  He lectures occasionally on social work courses in both UCC and UCD. In Annexe, UCC On 19/1/09 @  5.30 pm All welcomeAdmission: 5 euro,  IASW members free.
