Description of relevant experience/profile:

• I presently provide counselling for parents and carers living with child to parent violence and abuse with an intervention called Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) as adopted in Ireland. I also provide training on these topics to practitioners. Vigilant Care is an intervention used in a variety of settings and is an alternative way to influence change on individuals and communities.
• Previously I have worked in residential facility, community-based child and family agencies and Psychiatric Day Hospital all as a Social Worker. In the USA I was a Multi-disciplinary Team Coordinator for investigating most complex and severe child sexual abuse cases.
• My skill sets: counselling, research and research writing, supervision including Master level staff and students, programme development and promotion through video, online and press releases.

Qualifications: Master’s in Social Work major in Administration and Community Organisation, Bachelor’s in Social Science with a major in Social Work

Professional registrations: CORU SW001460 and Nagalro Professional Association for Children’s Guardians, Family Court Advisors, and Independent Social Workers

Extra skills: IT skills in website design and presentations. Conference and event planning. Writing for publications, presentations, and handbooks/brochures for practitioners and for clients
