The aim of this CPD seminar is to up-skill social workers in the use of social media skills - specifically Twitter - and to explore its potential as a tool for collective social action


Facilitated by Kenneth Burns and Kerry Cuskelly, this seminar is aimed at social workers who are comfortable with technology, but are novice or new to Twitter. Course content includes introduction to Twitter, setting up your account, overview of Twitter applications,#tags / @mentions / trending, followers, tweeting/retweeting, contributing to the social work community on Twitter, defamation and social media, and using Twitter for social action and campaigning work.
