Aoife Lawton, Systems Librarian, Dr Steevens' Hospital and manager of Lenus will present this seminar

The practitioner researcher SIG are hosting this free seminar. All are welcome to attend but places are limited so please arrive early if you wish to secure a place. 

The seminar will cover:

  • Open access publishing for social workers – available options, the pitfalls & the positives;
  • Lenus the Irish health repository – an overview;
  • Accessing the evidence – overview of resources available from HSE libraries.


Aoife Lawton MLIS, BA is systems librarian at Dr. Steevens’ Hospital.  She manages the Athens library authentication system, website and library Intranet pages.  She is the manager of Lenus, the HSE’s open access Irish health repository.  She has worked in libraries and the IT sector in Ireland and Belgium.  Her interests include evidence based practice, knowledge management and information literacy.
