An inter-professional conference for Health & Social Care Professionals to enhance skills and knowledge of continuous professional development

Price includes lunch and refreshments. A lunch voucher system is in operation for the canteen and there will be vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menu.

 

Directions: The Connolly Academic Centre/Education Centre is a 3 storey building located to the right of the main hospital building. Enter the campus through the main entrance, turn right at the tree and proceed to the main car park. The Academic Centre is a short walk from the main car park

Parking will cost participants a reduced rate of €4 pay and display for the day. The cost for the day is €4 and people can pay at the ticket machines.

Buses from Dublin city centre are 39A and 70 and stop just outside the hospital on the N3.

Jenny Bulbulia  Resilience in the Face of Change

A caring and strong professional whose experience encompasses the disciplines of law, advocacy, mediation, psychology, research and education.  Jenny is a barrister and accredited mediator (CEDR). She is also a PhD candidate in Psychology in Trinity College, Dublin conducting an international study into social worker's wellbeing and resilience. Jenny's research interests include professional wellbeing, resilience, vicarious trauma and burnout. Jenny has delivered workshops at undergraduate and postgraduate level in this area in Trinity College. She has also conducted research into vicarious trauma and barristers practising criminal law at the Irish Bar (paper currently in press). Jenny also works with organisations and agencies in the area of child protection and sexual health. She delivers Workshops and Master Classes on ethics and the law in crisis pregnancy counselling in NUI Maynooth and Child Protection workshops to postgraduate programmes in Trinity College Dublin. Jenny has a strong believe in the importance of supporting health and social care professionals in understanding their professional, ethical and legal obligations in this challenging area of work.


Connor McDonough is an experienced development consultant, with over 20 years of experience as a trainer, facilitator and coach. He works with individuals, teams and organisations to help people clarify priorities and build momentum as they move in the right direction. Connor is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (BA) and UCD (MBS). He established Momentum Matters to better collaborate with organisations to achieve their strategic people management and development objectives. He has worked across the civil service, third level institutions, financial services, the energy, entrepreneurial and tourism sectors. In addition to facilitating Time Management and Personal Effectiveness workshops, Connor designs and delivers Presentation Skills, Team, Management Development, and Train the Trainer programmes. He also provides coaching and team facilitation to support the development and delivery of strategic and tactical objectives.
