Led by ARAG, this CPD event brings together professionals to explore practical and sustainable strategies for strengthening communities. Participants will learn from experienced professionals in the area, hear about their initiatives, and participate in an engaging open discussion, which will promote reflections on building resilient, inclusive, and supportive local communities.
Participants will learn how to strengthen cultural awareness, navigate the balance between individual supports and systemic change. Incorporating both grassroots organizing and macro-level social justice advocacy, the event highlights the full spectrum of community social work, from coalition-building to challenging structural barriers.
With an emphasis on partnership, empowerment, and systemic thinking, the event will highlight local approaches to promote supportive and resilient communities, as well as identifying and mobilising existing resources, skills, relationships, and institutions.
This event will benefit various professionals, such as social workers, community development workers, youth workers and others, either working in statutory or voluntary settings.
